No lights, no sounds, no sign of human presence. Just the ocean, the jungle, and the waterfalls. Forty-five minutes by boat from the small town of Sumbawa Besar,
Blue EmOcean sits right on the beach, with a coral reef on the doorstep and the wilderness beginning where the garden ends.
We built this place to tread lightly. Solar panels cover most of our electricity. Our water comes from an on-site well. The kitchen runs on seasonal vegetables and fish caught fresh from the waters around Moyo Island.
Inspired by the landscape surrounding it, Blue EmOcean was shaped to offer a unique, off the beaten path experience. A small resort with comfortable rooms and attentive staff, it is the kind of place where the wilderness does most of the talking.

A spacious Standard room with a queen bed and a single bed, sleeping up to three guests. A solid base for families or friends exploring the island together.
A spacious wooden bungalow on two floors, with air conditioning and room for up to four. Wake up to the ocean from your balcony, with space to share for families and friends traveling together.
Simple and affordable Dormitory. The pods offer a bunk-style bed, a fan, and a charging station. Shared bathroom facilities. A smart choice for travelers here for the wilderness, not the room.

Indonesia's Hidden Gem
Moyo Island is one of nature's quiet wonders off the north coast of Sumbawa, and one of Indonesia's best kept secrets. As a protected nature reserve and marine conservation area, it has been carefully preserved from mass tourism. No crowds, no noise. Just dense rainforest, open savanna, and wild ocean.
Beneath the surface, the coral reefs are alive with teeming marine life. Above it, macaque monkeys watch from the trees, deer roam the forest trails, and waterfalls hide deep under the jungle canopy.
Along the coast, small fishing villages carry on as they always have. Unhurried, authentic, and still largely uncharted. This is the real Indonesia. Moyo Island is not a destination you stumble across. It is one you choose, and one you remember.
